Madrid, 22nd September 2026. Buenavista Equity Partners (“Buenavista”), an independent investment management firm specialising in private equity, infrastructure and venture capital in Spain, announced today the appointment of Enrique Centelles Satrústegui as Chief Executive Officer, following a resolution passed by the firm’s Board of Directors on 15th September. Centelles will assume executive responsibility for all areas of the firm’s business, which now has €1.3 billion in assets under management and a team of more than 60 professionals.
Enrique Centelles brings 25 years of experience in private equity, with a particular focus on primary investments, secondaries and co-investments. Since 2012, he has served as Managing Partner for Private Equity at Buenavista, where he has brought together the firm’s Buyout, Healthcare and Secondaries strategies under a single leadership structure, representing more than €750 million in assets under management. He has also led the launch and management of Buenavista’s buyout and secondary funds. In addition, he has been responsible for the growth capital area and has overseen the development of the specialist healthcare fund Buenavista Healthcare Growth Innvierte I.
He has also developed the group’s secondaries strategy, leading three transactions across tail-end portfolios, early secondary deals and a continuation vehicle. Enrique Centelles is a member of Buenavista Equity Partners’ Board of Directors and sits on the investment committees of its private equity and infrastructure vehicles. He has also served on the boards of 30 of the firm’s portfolio companies.
Enrique Centelles is a member of the Board of Directors of SpainCap, the Spanish private equity association. He holds a degree in Marketing and Business Management from ESIC Business School.
The appointment comes at a time of growth and consolidation for Buenavista, which this year has marked its 30th anniversary. Backed by a long track record of sustainable growth, the firm has quadrupled its assets under management over the past 10 years, reaching €1.3 billion today.
