Buenavista Equity Partners (“Buenavista”), a Private Equity firm specialising in the lower/mid-market segment in Spain, has approved the appointment of Josep Bono and Álvaro Moraga as new Partners in Buyout at its Board of Directors meeting. They will report directly to Rafael López Armenta, Managing Partner of Buyout, and Enrique Centelles Satrústegui, Managing Partner of Private Equity.

Josep Bono joined Buenavista in 2017 as an Associate in the Private Equity team and was promoted to Investment Director in 2021. He has been involved in the management of investments and divestments for the Buenavista Buyout I, II, and Secondaries funds, contributing to transactions such as Araven Group, Procubitos Europe, GTT, and Comess Group, among others.

Previously, he worked at Atitlan, Deloitte, and Grupo Antolín. Josep holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and an MBA from EDEM Escuela de Empresarios.

For his part, Álvaro Moraga joined Buenavista’s Private Equity team as an Associate in 2018 and was promoted to Investment Director in 2021. He has been involved in the management of investments and divestments for the Buenavista Buyout I, II, and Secondaries funds, contributing to transactions such as Nekicesa, ENSO, Vitro, Aviaction, and Parasol.

Before joining the firm, he was part of Banco Santander’s M&A Industrials team and worked as an analyst at Alantra and Deloitte. Álvaro holds a bilingual degree in Business Administration and Management from Carlos III University, where he received an international scholarship from UNSW Sydney in Australia.

With these appointments, Buenavista strengthens its Private Equity division, which manages over €1 billion in assets. As a result, Buenavista’s Private Equity team now comprises three Managing Partners, three Partners, two Investment Directors, and six Associates.

Enrique Centelles, Managing Partner of Private Equity at Buenavista, stated: “We are very proud to have Josep and Álvaro on our team and to have witnessed their professional growth over the past few years. At Buenavista, we are firmly committed to talent and to our team, supporting our professionals throughout the various stages of their career with us so they can fully develop their potential.”
