María Jesús is Partner responsible for fundraising and Investor Relations at corporate level and partner at Buenavista. Since 2013 she has participated in the fundraising of Buenavista Buyout I, II, Buenavista Secondaries, Buenavista Ventures, Buenavista Infraestructuras Iberia and Buenavista Healthcare Growth Innvierte I.
María Jesús joined Buenavista in 2007 as investment director and head of operations of the GED EF II Promotion Fund in Bulgaria. Partner since 2010. Until 2022, member of the Private Equity investment team.
María Jesús has 30 years of experience in the private equity industry and has been a member of more than 45 boards of directors in sectors such as aeronautics, biotechnology, healthcare, services, leisure, restaurant chains and services for the elderly.
Prior to joining Buenavista, María Jesús was Managing Director of Caja Madrid’s venture capital company and worked at Capital Riesgo Madrid.
María Jesús holds a degree in Chemistry, an MBA from the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI), a Master’s degree in Financial Management from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and a Master’s degree in Healthcare and Hospital Management from Arthur Andersen.
