Rafael Álvarez-Hevia, Investment Director at Buenavista Ventures, has a strong background in investment and extensive experience as an entrepreneur. Since 2019, he has been leading key operations for the fund from the Madrid office.
He began his professional career with internships at Alantra Wealth Management and a Family Office, where he built a solid foundation in financial analysis and wealth management. Subsequently, he held roles as an analyst at Ágora EAF and as a fund analyst at Andbank.
In the entrepreneurial sphere, Rafael founded his first startup at the age of 22. Throughout his career, he launched three startups across completely different verticals and business models: one in the healthcare sector, another in gaming, and a third in collective sales.
Rafael is an active member of several entrepreneurial associations, including the Entrepreneurship Club at the University of Navarra, and serves as an advisor to various tech companies. Additionally, he plays a prominent role mentoring early-stage startups.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Navarra and an MBA from the IE Business School.
